I used to get in trouble for the dumbest things. Like my skirt was knee length and the elders felt it should be past my knees. Talking to a brother in my hall too much at school (there weren't many witnesses, couldn't hang out with "worldly people" so who am I supposed to talk to?). Stuff like that. Totally dumb and totally petty. Didn't they have anything else to do?!?

I can relate...my mom asked me to be the executor of her will. Last time she did her will (before she got re-married) I agreed and when I had seen the will I realized that my brother and I who left the borg got nothing and she left EVERYTHING to my JW brother. Everything. Even though she wanted ME to be the executor. So, this time when she asked me to be the executor of her new will I said I would no problem but it had to fair to everyone. She said she would get back to me with the details and I haven't heard from her ever since. I did ask her about it once and she said she had someone else look after it. So, I guess I got my answer...

i guess it's that they appear attractive long enough to baptize the people, then they lose them.

i woke up this morning feeling achy with a slight headache.

I hope lurkers do read this and perhaps it will make them question things...after all, everyone is very focused on the end result. Little or no thought (I suspect) goes into the process in which to get there. And just how morbid are people that they would be okay with God just striking down millions and millions of people and only sparing them...really?!?

easter is coming soon and i am so excited!
i have not celebrated easter in over 17 years.
what a relief to be able to enjoy the worship of jesus and to be so grateful and thankful for his sacrafice.
I always mark the occassion by doing a chocolate easter egg hunt around my house (and sometimes yard depending on the weather) for my significant other. Also, there will probably be a family dinner we will be attending the mark the occassion as well. That is about as far as I take it.

I should add that God to me now is what I have created for myself. The way I view him is so much different. I am no longer afraid of him and the idea of what he represents. My idea of him is now friendly and kind and I didn't view him like that before. It works for me on my terms but it is not even close to how I believed in God before.
